RIP K-SWIFT

A TRUE BALTIMORE CLUB MUSIC LEGEND. I REMEMBER PLAYING WITH HER AT ARTSCAPE IN BALTIMORE THE DAY BEFORE HER DEATH, WHICH WAS 2 YEARS AGO THIS WEEKEND. IT WAS A SPECIAL EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET AND I AM IN DEBT TO THE UNRULY RECORDS HEADS FOR PUTTING ME ON. I PLAYED EARLY IN THE AFTERNOON AND HUNG OUT ALL DAY, SOAKING UP THE TRULY POWERFUL BMORE VIBES. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE EXPERIENCING REGIONAL AMERICAN DANCE MUSIC IN ITS PROPER CONTEXT AND IT DOESN’T GET MUCH BETTER THAN AT A STREET FESTIVAL. BY THE TIME K-SWIFT CAME ON, THE CROWD WAS READY TO DANCE. THE ENERGY, VIBES AND MUSIC WERE IN FULL EFFECT AND I REMEMBER ALMOST SHEDDING A TEAR. THE NEXT DAY SHE WAS GONE. ANYONE WHO HAS SPENT ANY TIME IN BALTIMORE KNOWS HOW IMPORTANT THIS WOMAN WAS/IS TO THE COMMUNITY. RIP TO THE ULTIMATE CLUB QUEEN. BELOW IS FOOTAGE OF K-SWIFT ROCKING WITH DJ CLASS AT HER FINAL SHOW.
