The confusing BOXXX REPORT micro-empire (OK it is just an internet newsletter and an internet radio show) continues to roll out into the unknown. The radio show is made monthly for the excellent London net station NTS and the December ep is a barnburner. Beyond the usual freaked out blend of high energy rap, punk and whatever, beyond the usual recurring features (the DOGS IN ECSTASY one-min mix, which took things to the next level with “Britpop Breaks Volume One,” and the DJ GEORGE COSTANZA song of the month), we also got an exclusive mini-mix from CUNTRY NOISE of ODWALLA88.
So what are you waiting for, stream it right here and check out the full Boxxx Report Radio archiveright here and while you’re at it why not sign up for the newsletter right here?
Listen, I know the November edition of The Boxxx Report Radio is right up on deck, happening on the same day as the insane and dark United States election… Shit. What does it all mean? Beats me, I’m just seriously trying to stay alive one day at a time style and change my life for the better. It is not easy. Anyways, in case you missed the October Boxxx Report Radio on the great London net station NTS (channel 2), you can check it out right here. It features a mix from Detroit/NYC expert mixmaster Abby plus all the monthly insanity (DJ George Costanza Song Of The Month, Dogs In Ecstasy Mini-Mix) you have come to expect.
It started as a newsletter and now it is a radio show: presenting THE BOXXX REPORT RADIO, every second Tuesday of the month on the great London-based internet radio station NTS from 11 AM to 1 PM EST. Playing mostly new-ish music from friends and Thunder Zone affiliates plus just great punk, rap, USA freakout music and whatever else I feel like. Influenced by both John Peel and Funkmaster Flex. High energy. The Boxxx Report Radio: check it out.
The first episode aired a few weeks ago and you can listen to it right here. It introduced some “recurring features” from members of the extended Thunder Zone crew including the DJ George Costanza Song Of The Month and the Dogs In Ecstasy 1-Minute Mix. It also featured an exclusive 20-min mix from the one and only SCHWARZ.
So check it out, and great ready for October and beyond. This world is truly twisted but you gotta keep running.
Last fall for one night only, my label/energy drink/whatever Thunder Zone threw a “CMJ Party” in the form of THE THUNDER ZONE MUSIC ACADEMY. Yeah, we have all heard of The Red Bull Music Academy, but this is a whole different beast from a whole different kind of fucked up loser energy drink corporation. True “variety show” style insanity from a wide range of USA freakout heroes. It was a really special night for me because I’m a big fan of everyone who performed. You can watch a little “highlight reel” above and remember: there are no rules in this insane life, try your best and just keep going. Also remember: most labels are boring and predictable, but not Thunder Zone: the bad news bears of this whole damn “industry.”
This Tuesday there is a Juiceboxxx show in New York City. It is a solid sick bill and it is only six bux. It’s going to be a great night of American music! We got ORNAMENT aka Joe D from GROWING aka the man who took the cover photo for my new record kicking things off. Then we got EARTHEATER aka Alex D from Guardian Alien throwing down. And if that’s not enough for you people, we got DJ GEORGE COSTANZA in the mix all night, hitting you straight in the face with his new “Cringecore” style. All info below!

May 16th in New York City we are going all the way. Thunder Zone/Nina Pop legend SCWHARZ (along with Mark Brown) throws a monthly party at a bar in Bed Stuy called ONE LAST SHAG and guess what my dudes? This month it is the fucking THUNDER ZONE TAKEOVER. What does that mean? Who knows. But here is a guess: energy drinks, “custom visuals,” and of course, freaked out DJ sets of American Music from some of the game’s unsung heroes: JUICEBOXXX, DJ GEORGE COSTANZA, SHAMS, SCHWARZ AND MARK BROWN.
THUNDER ZONE is my pop culture/music/beverage/clothing/whatever I feel like label and I’m excited to partner with some true American ragers for a night of insanity. So come out, get in your car, “do a road trip,” whatever man. Just keep the dream alive. Keep fighting. Even when it is so dark that you don’t know what to do and everybody is laughing in your fucking face because you are goddamn 28-year-old loser, keep fighting.
This Saturday, JUICEBOXXX AND THE THUNDER ZONE BAND invade MoMa PS1 in Long Island City for a performance at The New York Art Book Fair. I’m excited to get in the mix with a bunch of NYC ragers including RATKING, DARK SISTER and JUNGLEPUSSY and perform Modern American Music in a museum setting. Man sometimes I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing in this life but when I’m playing music things come together, if only for a second.
THIS IS IT PEOPLE. ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE.

Tonight! In Queens! The legendary Los Angeles rager Kyle H. Mabson will be doing a rare NYC DJ set at Trans Pecos. Kyle is a culture jammer operating at the edges of many communities; I consider Mr. Mabson to be a true man of the Modern World. His activities include playing music with notable ragers like XBXRX and Dan Deacon, curating a series of fucked up cover/remix compilations and touring the country doing 3D visual tech work for PRIMUS. Oh, he has also played in like 100 one-off bands that I can only describe as “contemporary art”. You truly can’t fuck with the man’s CV.
ALSO. This event marks the official release of the DJ GEORGE COSTANZA AWARENESS BRACELETS out now on THUNDER ZONE. You can buy them at the show! Costanza will also be on hand, doing a DJ set. And if all of that is not enough to get you out to Queens on a Monday night, we got one of my favorite NYC bands HARIBO throwing down! I played with these guys last fall and they blew my mind. Plus Hitashya! Damn this is going to be a good show.
Country and Rap are coming together to form a new American music and all I can say is: what took so long? Regardless, legendary THUNDER ZONE warrior DJ GEORGE COSTANZA has thrown down the gauntlet and made one of the definitive mixes of 2014. Costanza connects the dots between a lot of different worlds and makes an important statement about American music and culture.
A lot of this music might be “cheesy” to some but to me it is inspirational. More than anything, it is an invitation to creativity and I’m just really excited about the possibilities. Have I been writing Country Rap songs with a Nashville legend? Stay tuned.
ALSO: STILL AVAILABLE ON THUNDER ZONE… THE DJ GEORGE COSTANZA AWARENESS BRACELET.
Just in time for the hot summer comes a brand new fire flame SCHWARZremix package out on my label THUNDER ZONE. I’m really excited about this one, it features a lot of the sickest in the game throwing down slamming remixes but perhaps most importantly it features the one and only LA CHAT on the rap remix alongside Bmore rising star TT THE ARTIST.
LA CHAT is a true legend of American music and her guest verses have graced some of the most iconic Memphis rap tracks of all time. To have her involved on a THUNDER ZONE release is amazing. Throw in fresh remixes from DJ GEORGE COSTANZA, 333 BOYZ, MIKE G and BYRELL THE GREAT and you got something to freak out to under the hot summer sun. Check it out below.
ALSO… SCHWARZ WILL BE ON TOUR THIS JULY WITH KILBOURNE. TOUR DATES ARE BELOW.
